Incase you haven’t noticed – I’m a bit of a fan of Bedruthan Hotel & Spa. I’ve been a couple of times, once after my half marathon for a mini break with my friend and another time with all my girlfriends for my birthday last year.
So when I heard they were having a Mid-Century and Vintage fair, I didn’t hesitate in getting myself a ticket. If you’re a regular reader of Strawberry Squeeze, you’ll know that I’ve just bought a house — so attending these types of events with great furniture and homeware was probably always going to be bad news for my bank balance, but I couldn’t resist.
Mid-century and Vintage Fair Spring 2015 at Bedruthan Hotel and Spa, a multi award-winning hotel and spa. The hotel is on a rugged cliff side in the Cornish village of Mawgan Porth, offering wonderful views across the Atlantic.
The Mid-century & Vintage Fair returned for 2015, after last years success and takes place over three floors with more than 50 stalls of mid-century home wares and furniture, antiques, collectibles, handmade and vintage-inspired prettiness, fashion and beauty.
O fell in love with a chair similar to the ever popular Eames lounge chair, however due to space and the hefty price tag, it regrettably got left behind (although we did have to circle it a few times before we could say goodbye!).
We also struggled to not spend a copious amount of money on reclaimed marine and industrial lighting. I made sure I picked up a card though, as I’m sure an enamel dove grey lampshade is on the table for my dining room.
I couldn’t bare leaving empty handed, and I picked myself up a gorgeous large deer antler. It’s currently in storage in O’s garage until I move house next week, but pictures will be up as soon as I’ve got settled.
