I Made These Small Changes To My Day And Here’s What Happened

Last week I posted 4 simple changes I’d made to my daily routine to make me feel better every day. When I’m scrolling through Bloglovin’, I see these types of post all the time, but I always wonder what happens next?

That’s why I’ve decided to write a follow up post. Even when it was difficult to drag myself out of bed and I almost forgot to refill my vase with fresh flowers, I’m glad I did because I’m feeling great.

😱➡️  Simple Ways to Kick Start and Maintain a Healthier You

The hardest part of my challenge was going for a run in the morning, sometimes I ended up not getting out of the house until later than I anticipated but it was better than giving up completely. It’s also helped me form a habit of just getting up and going for a run, which is something I lost after I finished my half marathon a couple of years ago (I thought I’d never run again after that day!).

Learning to cook is an ongoing process that gets more exciting over time. Last Christmas I bought S the YoSushi! cook book and we’re bookmarking everything we want to try and make ourselves. Cozying up on the sofa and deciding what we’re going to make and then ordering the ingredients from the Asian supermarket is really fun, and it’s so much healthier than picking something off the shelf in Tesco. It’s slightly more expensive, but I feel way more productive feeding my brain quality food, and so it’s an obvious choice for me.

It’s not just about cooking though, I’ve also reduced my caffeine and sugar intake. Swapping to herbal teas has improved my sleep significantly. It’s actually been pretty fun experimenting with different Twinings herbal infusions, too. Sometimes I think we hit the kettle as a matter of habit, so why not make your daily routine a little healthier by drinking something that isn’t bad for you? It’s that easy..

Dedicating time alone has been difficult recently because I’ve been so busy with client meetings, and I recently went on holiday to Malta with some of my girlfriends. Even though it’s not been easy, I’ve managed to put some time aside for me. I’ve even switched off my phone, which is pretty much unheard of for me. It feels so good to hit reset, forget about my to-do list and just focus on relaxing in silence. If you don’t already do this, it’ll completely change your life.

This post is in association with Twinings for Go Natural Week.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
