Seafood

I am a major lover of seafood, from mussels to sea bass. The best thing about this is that seafood is incredibly good for you. Well, depending on how you cook it, that is. Obviously if you deep fat fry it in batter, it’s not going to be great for your health. However, if you bake it or stir fry it, fish has so many health benefits.

Fish is high in essential proteins, omega-3 and high-quality nutrients. It’s fantastic for the brain and heart, as well as many other areas of the body. Plus, as all seafood is low in fat, it’s a perfect food for weight loss.

Eggs

Boiled, scrambled, fried or poached, eggs are one of the healthiest and most nutritious foods on the planet. Not a fan of the white? That’s okay, just eat the yolk – the yolk is the healthiest part of the egg, anyway.

You might have heard that eggs cause your cholesterol to rocket, but this isn’t true. Eating eggs for breakfast, lunch and dinner might do, but not eating eggs once a day. If you want to stay in shape, eggs are the ideal meal or snack, as they are high in protein and low in fat.

Herbs and spices

You don’t need butter, gravies and cheese to flavour foods, all you need are lots of delicious herbs and spices. Far too many people insist on flavouring their food with unhealthy ingredients, but personally, I prefer to use herbs and spices.

You can pick up various flavourings at your local supermarket, or you can buy them online. The do-it-yourself HCG Products are good, as they have lots of healthy herbs and spices to choose from. Plus, the HCG in them helps to boost weight loss.

Fruits and veggies

Fruits and vegetables are not only low in fat, but are also high in vitamins and antioxidants. Plus, if you are creative about how you eat them – don’t stick to the same recipes, they are delicious.

For fruit, dipping berries in yogurt or blending them into a smoothie is a great way to eat them. For veggies, cooking them into a soup or baking them in a meat-free lasagne is a great way to get them into your diet. There are so many healthy foods to choose from, but those mentioned above are some that you must eat regularly. Add these foods into your diet – if you don’t already eat them, that is, and you will soon see the difference.
