Valentines Day Feat. Debenhams, Old English Co. & Red Letter Days

This Valentines day I was well and truly spoilt rotten. We started celebrating early by heading to The Wheelhouse Crab and Oyster Bar in Falmouth. It’s renown for being the BEST place in town for seafood, yet I’d never been. It typically has a long waiting list just to get a table but O managed to waggle us a couple seats on the Thursday before the Valentines weekend.

After swimming in a sea of flower delivery almost as big as me! Lilies and tulips – someone knows me only too well. The hope the below picture really does demonstrate the sheer size of this bunch!

I spent most of Valentines day whipping up some hazelnut, chocolatey goodness for O whilst he was at work. In my attempt to bake tasty treats for my boyfriend, I made some questionable dairy-free Nutella and gluten-free pancake mix.

I found the recipe online for the Nutella which compromised mostly of hazelnuts, maple syrup, cocoa powder and cocoanut oil – I threw in some dairy-free chocolate buttons for good measure! Find the recipe here.

Be warned:

it’s quite thick and doesn’t look very appealing. I’m yet so try it, however I hear it’s tasty and resembles ferrero rocher, which in my books is a winner.

I emptied a tub of Nutella and replaced it with my homemade spread (sneaky, I know!), then popped the gluten-free pancake mix in a jar, complete with an egg. This, coupled with a pair of Big Spoon, Little Spoon mugs from the Old English Co. make mornings in bed with someone special even better!
