😱➡️  4 Things I Learned After Planning my House Warming Party

Hire Some Inflatables

Inflatables aren’t just for kids! Adult sized bouncy castles and inflatable slides- even ball pits go down an absolute treat at parties. If you’re hiring a room you’re good to go, but if your party will be at home and the inflatables will be outside, keep an eye on the weather forecast. It doesn’t matter if it’s cold providing it’s dry. People will soon warm up messing around with something like this!

Set Up a Photo Booth

You could pay to rent a proper photo booth from a company which will come complete with different props and things, or you could just make your own. Set up against a plain wall (or use a white sheet) some seating and some fun accessories. eBay, Amazon and pound shops will all have fun and tacky accessories you could use. Giant sunglasses, mustaches, chalkboard speech bubbles and wigs all make for hilarious photos.

Hire Some Games

Games make an excellent addition to a party. Throw in anything with a competitive element, and it’s sure to get people talking and mixing! You could consider table tennis hire, renting a foosball machine, you could buy a dart board or even look into giant lawn games. Twister, Jenga, and Connect Four all work will in giant size, and give people the nostalgia factor as well as the competitive element!

Set a Dress Code

Fancy dress is always fun, it’s an obvious one with Halloween coming up but something you could do for any party. You could either set a theme and ask people to dress up based on this. Or go with something that gives them more freedom, such as ‘dress up as anything beginning with the letter A.’

Rent a ‘Sweet Bar’

There are a whole host of companies that offer fun catering, from sweets bars to ice cream stalls to chocolate fountains. This is a great option to serve alongside your party food, and just adds a special element to the party that will give it the wow factor. Most of these companies will offer different ‘packages’ where you can choose the quantity of people you’ll be serving, and they provide everything- ingredients, equipment, and serving.

Put Together Party Bags

Again not just something kids will enjoy! Put together little party favours/ gift bags for people at the end of the evening- this could include things like a shot glass and miniature alcohol bottle, funny novelties, sweets or anything else. This site has plenty of ideas.
