So far it has been so much easier to keep motivated with him by my side, knowing that we are not only losing weight together for ourselves but for each other as well.

I was a little bit envious of people who paid into Christmas Clubs and then withdrew the money before Christmas, to spend on presents. I didn’t know anyone locally who ran a club. I mentioned this when I was in the building society and the cashier suggested I set up a direct debit every month from my current account into a savings account. I explained I never had regular ‘spare cash’ but she was adamant that if the money left my account with my other bills, I wouldn’t miss it. I bit the bullet and tried it and I have to say I haven’t looked back. Whilst things may be tight on a day-to-day basis, I always have money for Christmas 🙂
